Applied Improvisation Workshops for Leadership or Intercultural communication (Download outline)
Leading with the Serenity of Uncertainty™
One of the key-competencies of an effective leader is the ability to take quick decisions when an unexpected event arises and to make the most of what is available at the moment to achieve the intended goal.
Letting go of the initial plan, listening to others’ ideas, and building on them, exploring unconventional solutions and trusting intuition are important elements for the success of this process.
This is similar to Improvisation Theatre, which is the art of acting without script or props: making everything up on the spot, in real time, following a set of rules and practices such as accepting offers, focusing on the here and now and making your partner(s) looks good.

Valuing differences: the power of "yes, and" in intercultural communication
In intercultural communication, it is important to be able to view the other'’s perspective, to value his/her point of view and to develop a positive attitude: the willingness to find a new perspective where the views of both parts are valid.
Still for some people, it is often difficult to say “Yes” to others’ ideas when these ideas are conflicting with their values. This changes when they learn how to say “Yes, I heard you”, “Yes, I appreciate what you say” even if they disagree and when they discover how to find a common point that can be leveraged.
In this highly interactive and experiential workshop we will use exercises from Improvisation Theatre based on the basic rule “yes, and”, which means I accept your “offer” and I am building on it.

    Leading effective virtual teams
     (Download outline)
Nowadays a lot of projects require the participation of people who do not necessarily report to the project leader. In addition, with globalisation more and more projects involve team members who are located in different geographies.
Much more than technologies, it is the relationships between team members that play a crucial role in the success or failure of a project.

In this course you will discover and discuss the keys elements for successful management of a virtual team and learn how to set up and lead one.
